Cisticercosis and criptosporidiosis.

One of the most interesting topics this week was infection by Ascaris lumbricoides, a specie of protozoo that comes into the organism and stay there adhered to the intestinal wall while spread lots of eggs charged with the immature form of itself. I think this is very important because we live in a place where there are the appropiate conditions for this protozoo to grow up, representing a very dangerous thinks to our population.

This week I learnt about deseases.

With the arriving of this new partial, I've started to catch up all my subjects to finally get better notes than before. Anyway, the first topic these past days it's been pathopshysiology of bacterial infection. This is interesting because I start understanding how the most common deseases evolve and how they generate sickness on us. It's surprising how easy it is to get reached by microorganisms, that actually are always around us, but our bodies manage to protect himself about this pathogens.

I'm learning about immune system.

This last days the first topic we saw for the partial was immune system. I have to say that it is very interesting to me to figure out how our bodies deal to protect us from all those threats out there that may endager our lifes. The main thing of it, is that immune system can react for a microorganism for th first time and then, if later that microorganism attaks again, our body can react pretty faster than the first time because it has the ability to remember how to destoy that hazard like the first time.
It is controlled by many mechanisms and they're amazing. I'm happy of being in this career.

This week I learn about neoplasms.

This is the last week before exams, and I don't know how I'm gonna do it, but I have to study all the topics I haven't read. The last few weeks have been kinda hard and because I've been feeling so damn blue and unmotivated, but with help from my teachers I tryed to rise above that and now I think I feel better. And talking about specific school stuff, I can say that the neoplasms have been the main topic, and it's very interesting all the risk factors that might act to give rise to this desease because most of the things we normally do as a society gives some risks to develop cancer.

This week I came back to classes.

It's hardly the second day of classes, and I'm really stressed out. On Genetics, the doctor left us several excercises that includes statistic calculations, and that really pisses me off because it has nothing to do with the rest of the medical subjects we're studying, and in any case, thought it do is usefull in medicin it is not in what general medic trearment concerns.
The rest it's going well, and I'm trying to learn better everytime, it's hard, but I have to do it.

This week a learnt about muscular contraction.

This is a week of changes about teachers, and classmates from the subject physiopatology integration, and I'm very proud because of my hard horwk reading and trying to know more everyday to be a great doctor in a few years.
The main topic it's been muscular contraction, and how the muscle is composed, with all his subecellular parts and the importance of them in the movement of the body.
